George Thayer Y.M.C.A. war work papers, 1918-1927.

Correspondence, passes, tickets, identification, workers permits, movement orders, and publications collected by a Hartford, Connecticut, resident who, because of his age, could not serve in the army during World War I, but instead assisted the National War Work Council of the Young Men's Christian Association in France. Includes a copy of his booklet "Army Influence over the Y.M.C.A. in France". Also includes issues of the Red Triangle Overseas, the A.E.F. University News, and the New York Herald European Edition printed in Paris.
